FIRST WEEKS IN BULGARIA

First two weeks in Bulgaria have gone by so quickly. Feels like I just came here like a few days ago. We've been going to beach, out for drinks doing some clubbing and just relaxing. It is really hot here and I like it. First I needed a few days to adapt to the hotness. My sister came with her boyfriend here earlier this week and it has been even more fun to hung out with them. Yesterday my boyfriend had to leave us to travel back to London for work so now it is a trio of us here. Miss him so much already. It has been happy days so far and I will just to adjust my feelings and mind for being away of  my boyfriend. Long distance relationships are quite a challenge. Anyways let the pictures tell what has been going on here in Varna my second home city.

Ekat kaksi viikkoa ovat menneet todella nopeasti täällä Bulgariassa. Tuntuu kuin vasta muutama päivä sitten olisin saapunut tänne. Olemme käyneet rannalla, drinkeillä, juhlimassa ja ihan vaan rentoutuneet. Täällä on tosi kuumaa ja aurinkoista, mitä rakastan. Aluksi meni muutama päivä totutellessa kuumuuteen. Siskoni saapui tänne aiemmin tällä viikolla ja meillä on ollut vieläkin hauskempaa täällä isommalla porukalla. Harmillisesti eilen poikaystäväni joutui lähtemään takaisin Lontooseen töiden takia, joten nyt triona seikkaillaan täällä. Nyt jo ikävöin häntä niin paljon. Olen nauttinut olostani täällä todella paljon tähän ast, mutta nyt on vaan taas asennoiduttava tunteiden ja mielen kanssa, että poikaystävä onkin usean tuhannen kilometrin päässä. Etäsuhteet eivät ole helpoimmasta päästä.. Joka tapauksessa antaa kuvien kertoa mitä Varnassa toisessa kotikaupungissani on ollut meneillään viime aikoina.

My new bikinis which I had to buy because my old ones didn't stay proper in me while I played in the water. I had to hold them with my arms to stay on me so I wen't to buy these. Love the blue colour and details. Found these from Oysho store.

Uudet bikinit, jotka piti ostaa koska vanhat bikinit eivät istuneet kunnolla enää leikkiessäni vedessä. Bikineitä piti pitää paikallaan, jotten olisi koko ajan väläytellyt. Tykkään tästä hieman murretusta sinisen sävystä ja yksityiskohdista. Bikinit löysin Oyshon liikkeestä.

One night we went to Golden sands to check out the clubs and see the tourist buzz there. Had fun and enjoyed at the parties. Definitely a place where to go on party holiday. 

Eräänä iltana kävimme Kultahietikolla tutustumassa paikallisiin klubeihin ja ihmettelemässä turistimeininkiä siellä. Oli hauskaa ja hyvät bileet klubeilla. Todellakin paikka minne mennä bilelomalle.

LONDON TRAVELLER

Finally I had time to write down the info about London pass and my tips about travelling in London. So I decided to buy a London pass since I was going to be a longer time here so I had plenty of time to do sight seeing. I wanted to maximize my London experience. Little did I know how good decision it was to get the London pass. Without it I would have missed sooo many places and spent way too much money. Oh it's going to be a long post so might take some time to go through.

I had my bought my London pass for ten days. You can buy the pass for one, two, three, six or ten days. So I bought the ten day pass for 116,80 pounds. I got lucky to hit the summer sales as normally the 10 day pass costs 146 pounds so I had 20 percent discount. I collected my pass in the London pass office which is located in Leicester Square in central London. I had bought it online and I then collected it when I started the sight seeing. You can also get the pass shipped to your home before travelling to UK but then a small additional fee has to be paid. After you purchase the pass you can collect it whenever you wish and it's valid for one year starting from the buying date. They also return the money if you decide not to use and collect the pass.

When collecting the pass I got the card aka London pass chain for it and the booklet about all the attractions, tours and museums where I could get with the pass. There is also offers and discounts to restaurants, shopping malls, theatres in the booklet. Oh I also recommend having a travel card or oyster card ( I wonder why it is called oyster?) like it's called here. It is really convenient  and fast to travel with the tube to different attractions because the distances can be quite long here. Especially if your accommodation is further from the centre or you wish to see attractions which are outside of central London. In the booklet you can also find the London tube map. Looks confusing on first sight but after a few days it starts to make sense.

Vihdoin löytyi aikaa kirjoittaa London pass: sta ja laittaa ylös vinkit Lontoon matkailuun. Ensinnäkin ostin tuon passin, koska mulla oli hyvin aikaa täällä ja ehtisin nähdä paljon paikkoja. Halusin maksimoida Lontoo kokemukseni, joten päädyin ostamaan passin, koska se vaikutti hyvältä ratkaisulta. Vähänpä tiesin miten hyvän valinnan tein kun ostin passin. Olisi jäänyt moni paikka näkemättä ilman sitä ja kulunut valtava määrä rahaa. Ainiin on aika pitkä postaus tällä kertaa joten voi viedä vähän aikaa..

Ostin passin kymmneksi päiväksi. Passin voi siis ostaa yhdeksi, kahdeksi, kolmeksi, kuudeksi tai kymmeneksi päiväksi. Maksoin passista 116,8 puntaa eli 166 euroa. Olin onnekas, koska satuin ostamaan sen jonkun kesäalen aikaan ja sain 20 prossan alennuksen. Normihinta olisi ollut 146 puntaa. Noudin passin firman toimistosta, joka sijaitsee Leicester Square:lla Lontoon keskusta-alueella aloittaessani nähtävyyksien kiertelyn. Passin saa myös kotiin lähetettynä, mutta silloin joutuu maksamaan pienen lisämaksun. Ostin passin nettikaupasta ja ostohetkestä lähtien se on voimassa vuoden ajan ja sen voi noutaa milloin haluaa. Mikäli passia ei ole käyttänyt, niin saa rahansa takaisin.

Noutaessani passin sain sen lisäksi tuon hauskan ketjun koteloineen, kirjasen, missä oli kaikki kohteet mihin pääsee passilla ilmaiseksi. Lisäksi on tarjouksia ja alennuksia ravintoloihin, ostoskeskuksiin ja teattereihin. Suosittelen myös hankkimaan matkakortin eli oyster cardin ( mistäköhän tuo osteri oikein tulee?) passin oheen, sillä etäisyydet ovat pitkät täällä jopa keskustan sisällä. Metrolla on todella kätevä ja nopea matkustaa eri kohteisiin, varsinkin jos majoitus ei ole aivan keskustassa ja haluaa nähdä kauempanakin olevia kohteita. Kirjasesta löytyy myös Lontoon metrokartta. Näyttää alkuun sekavalta, mutta parin päivän jälkeen metrosysteemi alkaa hahmottua

The bus tour is not included in the London pass but you get discount with the pass if you buy the bus ticket. When my parents we're here I took the bus tour with them. Recommend that as well as you see all the important sights and overall view of central London.

Bussikierros ei sisälly London Pass:iin, mutta passilla saa alennusta mikäli ostaa lipun turistibussiin. Vanhempieni ollessa täällä käymässä, kävin heidän kanssaan bussiajelulla. Suosittelen myös sijoittamaan bussilippuun, sillä kierroksella näkee kaikki tärkeimmät nähtävyydet ja saa vähän kokonaiskuvaa Lontoon keskustasta.

In the booklet there is different sections like: places of interest, historic buildings, museums, tours and leisure. You can find all the information in the booklet. Which tube line you have to take and which stations are the closest ones to the sight. There is also a little map on the page which shows the attraction and the closest tube stations. In the booklet there is also the opening times, numbers, addresses. Very handy!

Kirjanen on jaoteltu osiohin, kuten mielenkiintoiset paikat, historialliset rakennukset, museot, kierrokset ja vapaa-aika. Kaikki tieto löytyy kirjasesta esim. mikä metrolinja vie nähtävyydelle ja mitkä ovat lähimmät metroasemat. Kirjasesta löytyy myös pieni kartta samalta sivulta, missä näkyy nähtävyys ja lähimmät metroasemat. Lisäksi näet aukioloajat, puhelinnumerot, osoitteet. Kätevää!

London Pass is just a regular plastic card you can wear it with the chain or put it in the same case with the oyster card like I did. I saw many people in the sights also wearing the chain. So it is a matter of preference. 

London pass on tavallinen muovikortti ja sitä voi käyttää tuon ketjun kanssa kaulassa tai laittaa samaan koteloon matkakortin kanssa niin kuin minä tein. Näin nähtävyyksillä myös paljon ihimisiä kenellä kortti roikkui kaulassa. Jokainen voi siis käyttää juuri niinkuin itse haluaa.

I calculated that I had payed all the entrance fees and tickets to these places it would have cost to me 228,2 pounds 323,82 euros. So I saved 50 percent of my money by having the London Pass. And did I mention with the London Pass you can pass the queues. So recommend of getting one, it is worth it and pays itself back as incredible experiences and easiness. Now I feel bit empty but happy and after seeing all those amazing places. I've learned so many new things and know much more now. I can now say even that it's a cliche that travelling truly broadens your horizons and teaches many new things. 

Tuossa ylhäällä lista paikoista missä kävin ja pienempi lista on paikoista mitkä on ilmaisia, missä kävin muuten vaan itsekseni. Laskin että jos olisin ostanut kaikkiin noihin paikkoihin lipun tai sisäänpääsymaksun multa olisi kulunut 228,2 puntaa eli 323,8 euroa. Pääsin siis puolet halvemmalla passin kanssa. Ainiin en tainnut vielä mainita mutta passin kanssa pääsee siis jonon ohi myös. Suosittelen siis hankkimaan sellaisen, maksaa ehdottomasti itsensä takaisin upeina elämyksinä ja helpputena. Nyt on vähän tyhjä mutta kuitenkin onnellinen olo noiden hienojen paikkojen jälkeen. Olen oppinut tosi paljon uutta ja tiedän paljon uusia asioita. Nyt voin kliseisesti todeta että matkailu todella avartaa ja opettaa uusia asioita.

NEW EARRINGS

My boyfriends mom went to Bosnia and she brought me these beautiful earrings. I like them so much. They are so much my style and the green colour is a perfect match for my greenish eyes. The tassels are also so cute. I've also noticed that tassels and fringe are coming back in fashion little by little. I was inspired to try colorful eye shadow with the earrings but I'm not sure if I like it. Usually I wear brown and beige eye shadows and might put some black eye liner so the brighter colours are not so natural for me in my make up. Anyways the green eye makeup looks okay in the pictures because the camera somehow dissipates the makeup. This makeup looks much more dramatic in real life. 

About earrings I think I should use more of them. I have three holes in both of my ears and I always wear the same golden or silver rings. I seem to forget that earrings are accessories as well and I am able to change them.

Poikaystäväni äiti oli käymässä Bosniassa ja toi minulle tuliaisena nämä ihanat korvakorut. Tykkään niistä todella paljon. Ovat nimittäin juuri mun tyyliset ja vihreä väri sopii täydellisesti vihreään vivahtavien silmieni kanssa. Tupsut ovat myös söpöt. Tupsut ja erilaiset hapsut ovat pikku hiljaa tulossa taas muotiin ja esim. olen nähnyt tänä kesänä jo paljon hapsuteemaa kaupoissa. Intouduin kokeilemaan värillistä luomiväriä korvakorujen kanssa, mutta en ole varma pidänkö siitä. Yleensä käytän vain ruskean ja beigen sävyjä silmämeikissä ja saatan rajata silmät mustalla, joten kirkkaammat värit eivät ole minulle niin luontevia meikissä. Joka tapauksessa vihreä silmämeikki näyttää kuvissa ihan hyvältä mielestäni, koska kamera jotenkin aina häivyttää meikkiä pois. Tämä meikki näyttää luonnossa paljon dramaattisemmalta. 

Korvakoruista vielä, niitä pitäisi käyttää paljon monipuolisemmin. Minulla on kolme reikää molemmissa korvissani ja aina niissä roikkuu samat kulta sekä hopearenkaat ja nappikorvikset. Jotenkin unohdan että myös korvakorut ovat asusteita ja niitä voi vaihdella.

KEW BOTANIC GARDENS

Last week I visited this lovely place Kew botanic gardens in western part of London. Without the London pass I would have not come to this place but luckily I had the London pass booklet where I found so many interesting attractions. Kew gardens is basically a really big park with a lot of different types of little gardens, greenhouses, trees and historic houses. There is palm green house, Japanese garden, sky bridge in the level of tree tops, stone garden and these are just a few places. The area is really big. It is wise to engage one day just to this place because there is so much to see and you just don't want to leave this peaceful beautiful and almost magical place. I also recommend taking picnic supplies because Kew gardens make a perfect place for picnic. There is a two three restaurants there also if you don't want to carry the picnic stuff. Lovely place to go with the kids as well as I saw so many families there and kids being so enthusiastic about the place. Without further words let the photos tell the story.

Pari viikkoa sitten kävin Kew:n kasvitieteellisessä puutarhassa Länsi-Lontoossa. Ilman London pass:ia en varmaan olisi edes tajunnut tulla tänne, mutta London pass infokirjasesta löysin monia mielenkiintoisia nähtävyyksiä, kuten tämän. Kew:n puutarha on oikeastaan iso puisto, jonka sisällä erityyppisiä pieniä puutarhoja, kasvihuoneita, puita ja historiallisia rakennuksia. Löytyy palmukasvihuonetta, japanilaista puutarhaa, kävelysiltaa puunlatvojen korkeudessa, kivipuutarhaa vain muutamia nimetäkseni. Alue on todella iso. Kannattaa varata Kew:lle kokonainen päivä, sillä nähtävää on sen verran ja kauniista rauhallisesta jopa hieman taianomaisesta puistosta ei haluaisi lähteä pois. Suosittelen myös eväiden ja pikniktarvikkeiden mukaanottamista, sillä Kew puutarha on täydellinen paikka piknikille. Alueelta löytyy myös pari kolme ravintolaa, mikäli ei jaksa järkätä piknik juttuja mukaan. Loistava paikka myös lapsiperheille, sillä näin monia perheitä puistossa ja lapset olivat aivan innoissaan paikasta. Pidemmittä puheitta antaa kuvien puhua puolestaan.

ATTRACTIONS

Just now found these pictures from my computer even though they have been taken about two or three weeks ago. My parents came to London a few weeks ago for three days. On one day we did some overall London sight seeing by driving with the tourist bus and taking the Thames river cruise. The sight seeing tourist buses are really convenient because you get the bus tour and river cruise in the same price and you can drive with the bus as much as you like for 24 hours. You can hop in and hop out whenever you want. In the bus tour you also get to see the most important sights and may create an overall image of central London. It was such a lovely sunny day. The sun was so strong that day that we all got a bit burned after sitting in the second floor of the bus. In the London sight seeing tour buses there is no roof in second floor in most of the buses so sun shines directly to you. My parents chose good time to come to London as the weather was good on those three days. 

In these pictures there can be seen few attractions. Tower bridge and London city hall in the first two and the Shard in the third picture.And of course the river Thames is flowing back of me.  The Shard is the tallest building in Europe and when looking at it is difficult really to understand the size of it. Always when I see tall buildings like these I wonder how human beings can build something like that. Construction workers who make buildings like that can't at least not be afraid of the heights. I wore this simple and casual outfit for the day and did the right choice with the shorts as it was hot that day. Also wearing the comfy aerosoles shoes and the backpack.

Löysin nämä kuvat koneeltani vasta nyt, vaikka näiden ottamisesta on jo pari kolme viikkoa aikaa, Tosiaan vanhempani tulivat kolmeksi päiväksi Lontooseen käymään muutama viikko sitten. Yksi päivä päätettiin käyttää nähtävyyksien katseluun ja Lontooseen tutustumiseen. Helpoin tapa saada kokonaiskuvaa kaupungista ja nähdä nopeasti tärkeimpiä nähtävyyksiä on tietenkin ostaa lippu turisti bussiin. Tuolloin oli ihana aurinkoinen päivä. Aurinko porotti niin vahvasti, että hieman paloimme kaikki, sillä istuimme bussin toisessa kerroksessa. Turistibusseissa ei ole ollenkaan kattoa, joten aurinkoisina päivinä kannattaisi suojautua hyvin auringon säteiltä, mitä me emme tietenkään tajunneet tehdä. Ensi kerralla sitten. Vanhempani valitsivat hvyän ajankohdan tulla Lontooseen sillä sää oli hyvä kaikkina kolmena päivänä heidän ollessaan täällä. 

Näissä kuvissa näky taustalla muutamia nähtävyyksiä. Kahdessa ensimmäisessä näkyy Tower Bridge ja London city hall ja kolmannessa The Shard kohoo korkeuksiin. Ainiin ja tietenkin Thames jokihan se siellä takanani myös virtaa. Shard on Euroopan korkein rakennus ja vaikka sitä katsoisikin etäisyyden päästä kokoa on silti vaikea hahmottaa. Mietin aina tuollaisia korkeita rakennuksia katsoessani miten me ihmiset oikein osaamme pystyttää sellaisia ja ei ainakaan voi olla kovin korkean paikan kammoinen rakennusmies tuollaisia rakentamassa. Asu oli tuona päivänä yksinkertainen ja arkinen. Sortsit olivat oikea valinta, sillä oli kuuma päivä kierrellessämme kaupungilla. Jalassa myös mukavat aerosoles kengät ja laukkuna toimi reppu.

Viikonloppuna oli vähän matkaevästä metrossa, kun oltiin matkalla keskustaan. Taisi olla ensimmäinen kerta kun pikkulaukustani löytyi mini viinipullo.
