THREE SEASONS

Although these photos we're taken in December in London they are more spring appropriate. In London it was a lot warmer compared to Finland in December so I decided to post this outfit later when it was more like spring. I spent the Christmas with my boyfriends family in London. It feels now like it was such a long time ago. Time really goes fast. Well I've been really busy since New Years' because I have had all my final exams in uni as I'm graduating in May. So I guess I haven't had an empty moment in my life when to feel bored or time to go slowly. That's why it's been a bit quiet here on the blog because I've had school as my priority number one at the moment. 

Anyway this outfit here is just a simple everyday outfit of mine. Jeans, T-shirt booties and a coat. The polo neck and the metallic color are probably the more winter appropriate things here. I like the combination of the colors here: black and camel with some silver to spice things up. We went to Oxford street on that day to see the Christmas lights. Funny how I can remember by outfits what I've been doing every day.  And it is so weird to write about Christmas at this time of the year. Luckily this is the only outfit in the archives from winter. It's so nice that it starts to be warm and soon it's going to be summer!

Vaikka nämä kuvat onkin otettu joulukuussa on näissä mielestäni silti enemmän keväinen kuin talvinen tunnelma. Vietin Joulun Lontoossa poikaystävän perheen luona. Lontoossa oli silloin huomattavasti lämpimämpää kuin Suomessa joten päätin säästää tämän asun myöhemmäksi, kun olisi jo keväisempää. Nyt tuntuu kuin Joulusta olisi jo todella pitkä aika. Aika menee kyllä nopeasti, varsinkin jos on tekemistä. Uuden vuoden jälkeen olen ollut nyt todella kiireinen, koska olen valmistautunut lopputentteihin ja viimeistellyt opinnäytetyötä valmistumisen häämöttäessä toukokuun loppupuolella. Ei ole ollut kyllä tekemisestä puutetta tai tyhjiä hetkiä elämässä viime aikoina. Siksi myös täällä blogissa on ollut hiljaisempaa viime aikoina koulun ollessa prioriteetti numero yksi tänä keväänä. 

Joka tapauksessa tämän postauksen asu edustaa omaa arkipukeutumista. Farkut, T-paita, nilkkurit ja takki. T-paidan poolokaulus ja hopeanhohto lienevät ainoat talveen viittaavat tekijät tässä asussa. Pidän asussa selkeiden värien yhdistelmästä jota hopea hieman ryhdistää.  Kävimme tuona päivänä tämän asun ollessa päällä Oxford street :lla ihailemassa jouluvaloja. Hauskaa miten muistaa mitä on tehnyt sen perusteella mitä on ollut päällä. Ja onpa kyllä hassua kirjoittaa Joulusta tähän aikaan vuodesta. Onneksi tämä on ainoa arkistoissa ollut asu joka on jäljellä talvesta. On ihanaa kun säät ovat nyt lämmenneet ja pian kesä on täällä!

HOW TO - TRANSITIONAL SEASON

Can you tell it was a bit windy while taking these photos. That's why I wear the hat only in the first photo. I had to take it off because the wind blew it out of my head quite a few times. Well this is it transitional season at least here in Finland. I love the fact that spring is coming but I'm not that into dressing up to those different temperatures during one day. How it is here it's like 0 or -2 celsius (28-30 fahrenheit) in the morning and in the afternoon the temperature is going up till 8 to 10 degrees celsius (46-50 fahrenheit). It's tricky because I'm like yayy it's spring I'm just going to wear my leather jacket and converse but then I don't feel so yay when I'm freezing in the morning dressed up way too lightly. It's funny because my mom always used say to me when I was small that spring weather can be deceitful and it's true.

So what I do in when it's transitional season? I still continue wearing my winter coat but forget the winter shoes. Instead I wear booties or biker boots or etc. I just feel better like that to have my body warm and like that all of me is warm but wont roast too much. And what I do with the winter coat in the afternoon? I just wear the coat open if I feel it's too hot. In spring I also change to lighter scarfs and leave the thickest and warmest ones at home. This is also important if I'm wearing a lighter coat I make sure that my neck is well covered with a warm scarf because that I feel keeps all my body warm. One more tip that I'll share is to dress layers for example if you'd like to wear a leather jacket but it's chilly wear it with a warm knit and underneath the jumper a T-shirt or a cami and add a scarf for additional warm effect. Huomaako, että oli vähän tuulista näitä kuvia otettaessa. Tästä johtuen vain ensimmäisessä kuvassa on hattu päässä - se oli pakko ottaa päästä pois ja nöyrtyä luonnonvoimien äärellä, sillä muuten se olisi lentänyt tuulen mukana. Tuulisuuden ja jatkuvan säänvaihtelun voi kai laittaa sen piikkiin että vuodenaika on vaihtumassa talvesta kevääksi. On ihanaa kun kevät on jo täällä, mutta se ei ole niin ihanaa kun täytyy jatkuvasti sovitella pukeutuminen sen mukaan että aamulla saatetaan olla vielä pakkasen puolella, mutta iltapäivällä aurinko paistaa ja mennään ollaan jo reilusti plusasteiden puolella. Olen jo muutaman kerran mennyt ansaan ja laittanut nahkatakin ja tennarit vain tutistakseni kylmässä aamusäässä liian kevyissä vaatteissa. Niinhän äiti aina jaksoi muistuttaa kevätsään petollisuudesta, ollessani pieni.

No mitäs sitten tehdään kun tämä ihana välikausi koittaa? Itse jatkan talvitakissa, mutta vaihdan talvikengät nilkkureihin tai vaikka biker bootseihin. Aamulla pysyy  talvitakin suojassa lämpimänä ja iltapäivällä takin voi pitää auki jolloin välttyy paahtumisefektiltä. Keväisin vaihdan myös paksuimmat talvihuivit kevyempiin versioihin, mitkä suojaavat kaulaa, mutta eivät paahda liikaa. Ainoastaan  jos nyt olen joka tapauksessa päättänyt pukeutua siihen nahkatakkiin, vaikka ei vielä olisi aivan sen aika, suojaan kaulan lämpimällä huivilla, jolloin tuntuu että koko keho pysyy sen avulla lämpimänä. Lisäksi sovellan kerrospukeutumista eli puen alle lämpimän neuleen ja sen alle menee vielä T-paita tai toppi. FIVE FAVOURITES

Hello! Thought I'd share my five favorite things at the moment. I've done this kind of post last autumn (here) so now it's a good time to do one again. I'm into neutral colors and really classic basic pieces at the moment. I'm having a project in which I'm aiming to add some staple pieces to my wardrobe to have easily functioning wardrobe and clothes that I can easily combine to each other and create nice harmonious styles. Which pieces are your winter staples and favorites?

1. Grey cardigan - a great layering piece that goes with so many styles. I've been using this quite a lot recently. I love the simple and elegant cut.

2. The black tote - I've been using this a lot. I'm so glad I bought this bag even though the price was a bit high for my budget. It's a staple piece that never really goes out of fashion so it's worth the splurge. 

3. Paco Rabanne Million Eau My Gold - perfume. I tend to gravitate towards perfumes that are kind of heavy and strong with an attitude especially in the winter. This one has a really rich and full scent, with some fruity freshness. Just love this stuff. Haha I sound like an fragrance add!

4. Golden accessories. I've always loved golden accessories and I think that gold suits me better than silver. I got some silver pieces but I prefer the golden ones. I bought these rings from the winter sales and most of them are from H&M and Glitter. I've been using them a lot recently.

5. Loreal Volume Million Lashes, So Couture - mascara. This is a great product. I had been hearing a lot of positive things about this mascara so I thought I'd give it a try and I love it. This mascara makes the lashes to pop out and doesn't make them to stick to each other and it gives an elegant but not too overdone look which I like.. The brush is easy and comfortable to use. 

Moikka! Päätin jakaa omat viisi suosikkijuttua tällä hetkellä. Olen tehnyt vastaavanlaisen postauksen viime syksynä (täällä), joten nyt tuntui luontevalta päivittää omat tämänhetkiset suosikkijutut tyyliin liittyen. Tällä hetkellä olen innostunut neutraaleista väreistä ja klassisista perusjutuista pukeutumisessa ja tyylissäni. Itse asiassa mulla on päällä pienimuotoinen vaatekaapin täydennysprojekti. Tarkoitus olisi siis täydentää vaatekaappia perusjutuilla ja niillä tyylin kulmakiviin kuuluvilla vaatekappaleilla, jotta tuloksena olisi toimiva vaatekaappi, jossa vaatteita olisi helppo yhdistellä toisiinsa ja luoda kivoja tyylejä. Mitkä on teidän talven suosikkijuttuja ja pukeutumisen kulmakiviä?

1. Harmaa neuletakki - Tämä on loistava vaatekappale kerrospukeutumiseen ja sopii kaiken kanssa. Olen käyttänyt tätä viime aikoina paljon. Tykkään neuleen yksinkertaisesta ja elegantista leikkauksesta.

2. Musta laukku - Tätä onkin tullut käytettyä viime aikoina paljon. Olen todella tyytyväinen tähän hankintaan, sillä vaikka omaan budjettiin nähden piti hieman sijoittaa rahaa niin se kannatti tällaiseen klassikkojuttuun, mikä ei varmaan koskaan mene pois muodista.

3. Paco Rabanne Million Eau My Gold - parfyymi. Tykästyn useimmiten aika vahvoihin ja täyteläisiin parfyymeihin etenkin näin talviaikaan. Tämä Paco Rabannen uutuustuoksu on rikas ja täyteläinen yhdistettynä raikkaan hedelmäisiin aromeihin. Ehdoton suosikki tällä hetkellä. Haha kuulostinpa ihan joltain hajuvesimainokselta!

4. Kultaiset asusteet. Olen aina pitänyt kultakoruista ja kullanhohtoisista metalleista. Mielestäni kulta sopii paremmin hiusteni ja ihoni sävyihin. Minulla on muutamia hopeakoruja, mutta suosin useimmin kultaa. Nämä sormukset ostin talvialeista H&M:ltä ja Glitteristä. Ovat olleet käytössä paljon viime aikoina.

5.Loreal Volume Million Lashes, So Couture - ripsiväri. Loistava tuote. Olin kuullut paljon positiivista tästä ripsarista joten päätin sitten itsekin kokeilla miten toimii ja olen ollut todella tyytyväinen. Tämä ripsiväri erottelee ripset hyvin toisistaan ei klimppiinny ja tuo ripset ihanasti esille. Harja on helppo ja mukava käyttää. Lopputulos on elegantti ja huoliteltu mutta ei liian laitetun näköinen, mistä pidän.

GREY TONES

Hello guys! It was so cold when these photos we're taken last week that I don't know how I'm able to smile so calmly as I was freezing at the same especially without the coat and scarf. Sadly the weather is a lot warmer at the moment and it even rained today. I would love the winter to continue and the snow to stay a bit longer as it is so beautiful in the winter here in Finland. So fingers crossed that winter is not over yet!

Here I got a simple everyday winter outfit. The key is layers, practicality and comfort. Under the cardigan I'm wearing a simple white tee and the grey wool socks to warm up my ankles. I love the combination of the earthy tones in this outfit. Khaki/Olive green and tones of nude and light brown make a nice combination. The beanie looks black in the photos but is actually dark grey. I initially wanted to get simple black beanie but when trying it figured that dark grey would flatter me more. The black one looked too rough on my pale winter skin so grey it is. Sometimes I feel it is a bit of a challenge when it comes to style at winter at least here in Finland.

Moikka! Viime viikolla ollessani kuvailemassa, oli niin kylmä että nyt kuvia katsoessa ihmetyttää miten pystyn noin rauhallisesti hymyilemään, etenkin silloin kun kuvattiin ilman takkia ja huivia. Oli lähellä etten jäätynyt siihen paikkaan. Harmillisesti nyt onkin lämpötila hieman kohonnut ja vettäkin tainnut jo sataa tänään. Jatkuisipa kunnon talvisäät vielä jonkin aikaa - talvella on kuitenkin niin kaunista. Sormet ristiin ettei talvi ole vielä ohi!

Tässä yksinkertaista arkista talviasua. Kerrostaminen taitaa olla avainsana talvipukeutumisessa sekä tietenkin käytännöllisyys ja mukavuus. Neuletakin alla on valkoinen perus t-paita ja harmaat villasukat lämmittävät mukavasti nilkkoja. Tykkään asussa maanläheisten sävyjen yhdistelmästä. Khakin/oliivinvihreä ja beigen sekä nuden sävyt ovat loistava pari. Pipo näyttää kuvissa mustalta, mutta on oikeastaan tummanharmaa. Ostin sen vähän aikaa sitten. Olisin alunperin halunnut mustan peruspipon, mutta päädyin tummanharmaaseen sillä musta näytti mielestäni liian kovalta talvikalpeaa ihoani vasten. Joskus tuntuu että talvi ja tyyli ovat aika haastava yhdistelmä. Miten teillä on sujunut tyyliasiat tänä talvena?

WINTER ESSENTIALS

Before I came back to Finland I spoke with my mom on the phone and she warned me of the changed weather conditions here. I left a +5 celsius, rainy, and windy Finland to come back two weeks later to -25, snowy, beautiful winter wonderland. I didn't have a winter coat with me in London because it was warmer and I thought it would be same temperature here like it was before I left but nope it didn't go so. So what a perfect excuse to buy a new winter coat. Actually I didn't have yet a parka style coat so this is just a needed staple piece for my collection. I love the light beige, creamy colour which usually compliments my skin tone. The length is also good ending in the middle of the thigh to keep me warm in the winter and for my body proportions to look balanced. 

The only thing with this coat that is a bit annoying is the waistline which was clearly designed for a bit shorter woman as it hits me 10 cm above my actual waist. Plus the sleeves are a bit too short. I noticed these things in the shop while trying the coat but I liked the coat so much overall I thought I'd just deal with it. Sometimes as a tall woman I have to make some compromises with the clothes. While shopping it's good to check these things and to evaluate the piece which you're going to buy. If you want to invest to some good quality classic piece you want to make sure it fits perfectly and sometimes you just have to make compromises like I did this time as I was shopping in the sales and in a bit of rush but that's okay. I bought the coat from London a shop called TK Maxx and the brand is "Mon Buofon" which is new to me. I guess it's some French clothing brand.

The rest of the outfit is just a basic black jeans and sweat shirt. The shoes which I'm obviously wearing when the temperature drops are the Joan of Arctic boots from Sorel which I think are so cute and comfy and go perfectly with the Scandinavian winter style.

Ennen Suomeen paluuta jutellessani äitini kanssa puhelimessa hän varoitti sääolosuhteiden Suomessa hieman muuttuneen. Lähtiessäni Lontooseen taakse jäi +5-asteinen, sateinen ja tuulinen Suomi, mutta palatessani täällä odottikin -25 luminen upea Talvi-Suomi. Lontooseen en ollut pakannut talvitakkia, sillä sää oli siellä lämpimämpi kuin Suomessa ja oletin säiden pysyvän täälläkin samanlaisina kuin ennen lähtöäni. Eipä mennytkään ihan suunnitelmien mukaan. Toisaalta mikä täydellinen tekosyy ostaa uusi talvitakki. Itse asiassa tämä takki oli kyllä loistava klassinen lisäys kokoelmaani, sillä parkaa tai sen tyylistä takkia en vielä omistanutkaan. Rakastuin vaaleaan kermaiseen (beigeen?) väriin mikä yleensä sopii ihoni ja hiusteni sävyyn loistavasti. Myös takin helman pituus reiden puoliväliin on imarteleva ja pitää ihanasti lämpimänä pakkasilla.

Ainoa asia mikä takissa hieman ärsyttää on sen vyötärö, sillä takki on selkeästi suunniteltu hieman lyhyemmälle naiselle. Takin vyötärö jää minulla nimittäin noin 10 cm luontaisen vyötärölinjani yläpuolelle. Lisäksi takin hihat ovat hieman liian lyhyet. Huomasin nämä jo takkia sovittaessani, mutta tykkäsin takista muuten niin paljon että päätin vaan elää näiden kanssa. Joskus pitkänä naisena täytyy tehdä kompromisseja vaatteiden kanssa. Shoppaillessa nämä asiat on aina hyvä tarkistaa varsinkin jos haluaa sijoittaa hyvään laatuun, istuvuuden tulee olla täydellinen. Ihannetilanteessa ostaminen olisi aina tällaista. Joskus sitten täytyy tehdä kompromisseja, kuten minä tällä kertaa shoppaillessani alennusmyynneissä pienessä kiireessä ja se on ihan ok. Takin ostin Lontoosta TK Maxx-nimisestä kaupasta ja merkki on "Mon Buofon", joka ei ollut minulle entuudestaan tuttu. Varmaan jokin ranskalainen vaatemerkki.

Muuten asu onkin aika perusmeininkiä mustine farkkuineen ja kollaripaitoineen. Kengät, jotka minulla menevät jalkaan lämpötilojen laskiessa, ovat nämä Sorelin Joan of Arcticit. Kengät ovat mielestäni todella söpöt ja mukavat sekä sopivat loistavasti skandinaaviseen talvityyliin.

HOW TO BECOME INSPIRED

We went to see a new film called The Intern starred by Robert de Niro and Anne Hathaway. It was a nice feel good comedy with some drama as well. We had so much fun with our group laughing on the jokes and enjoying ourselves. For me one of the best parts of the film was the gorgeous and inspiring costume design seen on the film. The theme was partly in the fashion world so I got so much eye candy in the form of the outfits. The costume designer of the film is Jacqueline Demeterio. I haven't heard of her before but totally loved her way of styling. Very modern and chic. Here in this style I got inspired with an outfit seen in the film in which boyfriend jeans we're combined with a classic white shirt and similar style shoes. I especially liked how they had tucked in the other side of the shirt in the jeans which showed the cute belt and added some chic and sleekness to the outfit. The cardigan on top of the shirt brings some warmness and softness to the outfit and adds the final touch. I'll probably have to watch The Intern soon again to get some more inspiration. I love how anything which I see can be inspiring. Usually with my personal style I get my inspiration from the styles I see on the street another blogs and new trends.

Kävimme katsomassa kaveriporukalla uuden elokuvan The Intern, jota tähdittivät Robert de Niro ja Anne Hathaway. Kyseessä oli mukava hyvänmielen elokuva, jossa oli myös draaman aineksia. Oli hauskaa nauraa yhdessä vitseille ja nauttia olosta leffateatterissa. Minulle elokuvan parhaita paloja oli kuitenkin upea ja inpiroiva stailaus. Elokuvan teema liittyi osittain muotimaailmaan, joten silmänruokaa riitti tyylistä ja pukeutumisesta innostuville. Pukusuunnittelija oli Jacqueline Demeterio, josta en aiemmin ollut kuullut, mutta jonka stailauksista nautin todella paljon. Tyylit olivat moderneja ja hyvin chic. Tässä asussani inspiroiduin elokuvassa nähdystä asusta jossa boyfriend-farkkuihin oli yhdistetty klassinen valkoinen kauluspaita vastaavantyylisten kenkien kanssa. Erityisesti pidin siitä miten paidan helman toinen puoli oli tungettu housun sisään ja paljasti söpön vyön sekä lisäsi asuun huoliteltua chic henkeä. Neuletakki paidan päällä tuo asuun lämpöä ja pehmeyttä sekä täydentää asun. Pitää varmaan katsoa The Intern pian uudestaan saadakseni lisäinspiraatiota omaan tyyliin. Ihanaa miten mistä tahansa näkemästään voi inspiroitua. Useimmiten omaa tyyliä inspiroivat katutyylit, muut blogit ja totta kai uudet trendit. 

RIPPED JEANS WITH STRIPES

Here is an outfit for school a few weeks ago. Very casual and comfortable. These ripped jeans fit perfectly and they have stayed well in the shape. I paired them with this striped shirt which I tucked in the jeans a little bit. The shirt is cut in a way that it is easy to wear like this off-shoulder and normally as well. The material is soft and a little bit stretchy. If it would be slightly longer would go as casual dress as well but for me it's a shirt. The appearance would be too baggy with the jeans if I wouldn't tuck the hem in the jeans. Worn like this the shirt looks more balanced. In this outfit there is also the more is more attitude as a combine so many different elements like stripes, plaid, ripped jeans and the cowboy boots. I like it myself like this to be a bit rock n ' roll and boho, Tall women can wear big patterns like this quite care free because there is the height to help you not to disappear inside the pattern. They say the horizontal stripe also creates an illusion that makes you look slightly shorter and wider which is not a problem when you are tall.

Tässä arkiasua muutaman viikon takaa. Rennolla ja mukavalla linjalla mennään edelleen. Nämä revityt farkut istuvat täydellisesti ja ovat yllättävän hyvin pysyneet muodossaan. Yhdistin ne tähän raidalliseen paitaan, minkä helmaa tungin hieman housun sisään saadakseni aikaan ryhdikkyyttä asuun ja välttämään liian säkkimäistä vaikutelmaa. Tämä paita on leikattu niin että sitä voi helposti käyttää tavalliseen tapaan tai näin kuten minulla eli off-shoulderina. Paidan materiaali on pehmeä ja joustava sekä leikkaus on todella väljä, joten on käyttömukava vaatekappale. Mikäli paita olisi ihan vähän pidempi sitä voisi käyttää rentona mekkona, mutta minulle se on toimii paitana. Tässä asussa on myös sovellettu "enemmän on enemmän" ajatusta, sillä olen yhdistänyt niin monia eri juttuja kuten raitaa, ruutua, revittyä farkkua ja cowboy saappaita. Omaan silmään miellyttää hienoinen rock- ja boho-henki. Pitkien naisien on helppo käyttää tällaisia isokuvioisia vaatteita, koska pituus suojaa kuosiin "hukkumiselta". Sanotaan myös että vaakaraita lyhentää ja leventää hieman, mikä ei tietenkään ole ongelma jos on pitkä.

INDUSTRIAL

You never know when you're going to be inspired. A week ago my boyfriends one week visit was sadly over and I drove him to the airport. We left the car in the car park and as there was plenty of time an idea of some photos with slight industrial spirit. So I asked Stefan to take some photos of me in the car park. The car park was actually a really nice photo shoot location because it was so quiet and peaceful there. I could focus perfectly. 

Ei voi koskaan tietää milloin inspiraatio iskee. Viikko sitten poikaystäväni viikon mittainen Suomen vierailu oli harmittavasti ohi ja vein hänet lentokentälle. Jätin auton parkkihalliin ja koska olimme saapuneet ajoissa lentokentälle sain idean kuvista hienoisella teollisuushallin tunnelmalla. Joten pyysin Stefania ottamaan muutamat otokset parkkihallissa. Parkkihalli olikin todella mukava kuvauslokaatio sillä siellä oli niin hiljaista ja rauhallista. Pystyin keskittymään täydellisesti.

That day I wore just a basic comfy outfit to feel not too snug while driving. I like the model of this light purple knit. It is loose fitted but not baggy and the hem line comes just to the right place to flatter my body type. The hem line ends at point a little bit above the widest place of my hips but still long enough to split the body to balanced "halves".  Also the cuffed pants help proportioning the body by creating the illusion of slightly shorter legs if you happen to have long legs. Of course it's totally a different thing if long legs is the feature which you want highlight.  

These kind of clothes are great options for tall women because too baggy and loose fitted clothes can create an illusion of even bigger body especially with tall women. It's good that the clothes are subtly snug fitted but not too tight. It's useful to consider the colours as well when you want to dress the best way to your body type, The colours in the outfit also are in accordance light tones and the materials are soft which creates a harmonious set. The light pastel colour  of the knit draws the attention to the upper body and balances the tallness impression with the loose fitted model.

Tulloin päällä oli mukava perusasu ajomatkaa ajatellen. Beiget rennot samettihousut, vaaleanlila neule ja lenkkarit muodostavat helpon ja mukavan kokonaisuuden. Pidän tämän vaaleanlilan neuleen mallista. Se on löysä mutta ei säkkimäinen ja helma tulee juuri oikealle korkeudelle imarrellakseen vartalotyyppiäni. Helma on hieman ylempänä kuin lantion levein kohta, mutta silti tarpeeksi alhaalla jakaakseen kehon kahteen tasapainoiseen "osaan". Myös käärityt lahkeet luovat illuusion hieman lyhyemmistä jaloista, jos on siunaantunut pitkät jalat ja haluaa tasapainottaa mielikuvaa kehosta joka on vain "yhtä pitkää jalkaa". Totta kai on eri asia jos pitkät jalat on juuri se piirre mitä haluaa korostaa. 

Tämän kaltaiset vaatteet ovat loistavia pitkille naisille, koska liian säkkimäiset ja löysät vaatteet saattavat luoda illuusion todellista suuremmasta koosta.Vaatteiden on oman kokemukseni mukaan hyvä olla hienovaraisen istuvia ja ei liian tiukkoja. Kannattaa huomioida myös vaatteiden värit, kun haluaa korostaa omia parhaita puoliaan. Tässä asussa myös yhteensopivat vaaleat värit ja pehmeät materiaalit luovat harmonista kokonaisuutta. Neuleen vaalea väri kerää enemmän huomiota yläkehoon ja tasapainottaa pituusvaikutelmaa löysähkön mallinsa ansiosta.

HIGH WAIST JEANS & CROPPED TEE

Loving my high waist jeans from Topshop. They are so flattering and comfortable with a perfect fit. High waist jeans and pants go best with rather short tops that show the long line of the leg. I like crop tops with high waist pants. Usually I'd wear a long cardigan with this combo because the long line of the cardigan balances the short top. I recently bought two crop tops from H&M and this mint colour Tee is one of those two. I love the basic design and fresh mint colour. This would go cutely with a pencil skirt for more formal or with shorts in the summer time. 

I got my bike back today. My dad repaired it for me.  I was excited like a child about the bike and later cycled to this picturesque place (Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge) to take some pics with my friend P. We had tea in a thermos and sat there on a bench having a lovely afternoon.  It was so weird to ride with bike after not cycling for about three years. (Yeah it took me so long to take my bike to my parents place and to ask my dad to repair it) After the cautious start I really enjoyed cycling. Think I'm going to start cycling to school again.

Rakastan näitä Topshopin korkeavyötäröisiä farkkuja. Istuvuus on täydellinen ja mukava päällä sekä  leikkaus ja malli imartelevat kehon mittasuhteita. Korkeavyötäröiset farkut sopivat parhaiten melko lyhyiden yläosien kanssa, mikä jättää näkyville pitkän linjan nilkasta vyötärölle. Itse tykkään käyttää "crop top" yläosia (en keksi muuta hyvää suomennosta kuin lyhyt toppi, napapaita kuulostaa niin ysäriltä) korkeavyötäröisten housujen kanssa. Usein yhdistän tällaiseen asuun vielä pitkän neuletakin, koska sen pituus tasapainottaa hyvin topin lyhyyttä. Ostin äskettäin kaksi crop top:ia H&M ja tämä mintunvihreä paita on toinen niistä. Tämä sopisi kivasti myös esimerkiksi kynähameen kanssa hieman muodollisempaan tyyliin tai kesällä sortsien pariksi.

Sain pyöräni tänään takaisin. Isäni oli korjannut pyörän ja toi sen tänään. Olin siitä niin innoissani että lähdin myöhemmin pyörällä tähän ihanaan paikkaan (Langinkosken keisarillinen kalastusmaja) ottamaan hieman kuvia ystäväni P:n kanssa. Termoksessa oli teetä mukana ja nautimme kupilliset penkillä kosken kuohuja seuraillen ja rentouduimme iltapäivän auringonpaisteessa. Olipa omituisen tuntuista ajaa pyörällä kolmen vuoden tauon jälkeen. (Kesti todella kolme vuotta saada pyörä vanhempieni luo ja pyytää isää korjaamaan pyörä) Varovaisen aloituksen jälkeen koin taas pyöräilyn iloa. Taidanpa alkaa pyöräilemään kouluun tästä lähin.
