HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year guys! Hope you're having a great time celebrating the upcoming year 2016. I'm not making any New Years resolutions instead I'm going to set myself few goals to strive next year. This year has been like a roller coaster with big ups and downs and the feelings from the past year are a bit all over the place. Now I want to pick up myself and make the year 2016 the best year ever. Wish you a great evening and good times!!!

Hyvää uuttavuotta kaikille teille! Toivottasti nautitte vuodenvaihteesta omaan tapaanne juhlien. Itse en aio tehdä uudenvuoden lupauksia niiden sijaan aion asettaa itselleni muutamia tavoitteita seuraavaksi vuodeksi. Kulunut vuosi on ollut melkoista vuoristorataa. Välillä on käyty huipulla välillä pohjamudissa ja tunnelmat ovat vähän hajanaiset tästä vuodesta. Nyt haluan koota jälleen itseni ja tehdä seuraavasta vuodesta parhaimman ikinä. Upeaa iltaa teille!!!

NYE OUTFIT LOOKBOOK

New Years Eve is here just in few days and I came up with a thought to create a post with outfit ideas for New Years party. This year I feel it is a party after party as we celebrated my boyfriends birthday on Sunday and soon it is the New Year. Like every third day a big party with good food, wine and relaxing time. It's lovely but on the other hand all that indulgence can be quite energy consuming (if you know what I mean).. Not to mention the dress-up issue. I'm that girl to change the outfit for about a gazillion times before the party and still be wondering if something else would've been a better choice. So from these thoughts I came up with the conclusion that sometimes it would be a good idea to have few outfits planned in advance if you're busy or just tired to be creative. So there you go my outfit ideas for New Years Eve! Hopefully inspiring!

Uudenvuoden aatto lähestyy kovaa vauhtia. Sain sattumalta ajatuksen kehitellä postauksen, jossa esittelisin muutamia asuideoita uudenvuoden juhlia ajatellen. Tänä vuonna tuntuu kuin olisi vain juhlaa juhlan perään, sillä toissapäivänä juhlittiin poikaystäväni syntymäpäivillä ja kohtahan onkin jo uusivuosi. Joka kolmas päivä aina isompi juhla hyvän ruuan, viinin ja rentoilun merkeissä. Samaan aikaan ihanaa, mutta toisaalta myös hiukan kuluttavaa (jos tiedätte mitä tarkoitan).. Unohtamatta tietenkään pukeutumisasioita. Itse olen se miljoonan asun sovittelija ennen juhlia, joka vielä asun valittuaankin miettii olisiko joku muu vaihtoehto ollut parempi (samaistuuko kukaan?). Tästäpä totesin että joskus olisi ihan kiva olla luottoasuja mietittynä valmiiksi jos aina ei ehdi tai jaksa. Joten olkaapa hyvät, tässä omat asuideat uudenvuoden juhlintoihin! Toivottavasti inspiroidutte!

 Here I've paired a burgundy peplum top with the perfectly fitted jeans . Unfortunately I forgot to ask the back of the top to be photographed because it's a lovely see through kind of lacey thing but you can check it out in my previous post as I wore this top at Christmas as well. (Oh by the way, I apologize because I have the same pair of shoes in every outfit as I didn't bring so many pairs with me to London.) In this outfit I go with golden accessories while keeping it kind of minimal. The shoes I'm wearing are a simple Tommy Hilfiger pair of black ankle boots. I also like how nicely this cheetah clutch goes with the jeans style.

 Tässä asussa olen yhdistänyt farkkuihin burgundinpunaisen peplum-topin. Harmi että unohdin kuvauttaa topin takaosan, sillä se on mielestäni todella näyttävä läpinäkyvyyden ja pitsin ansiosta. Edellisestä postauksesta sen voi käydä kurkkaamassa. (Pahoittelut muuten siitä että kaikissa asuvaihtoehdoissa on samat kengät. En viitsinyt raahata kovin montaa paria muutamaksi viikoksi tänne Lontooseen.) Tässä tyylissä asusteiden metallina on kulta ja yleisajatuksena yksinkertaisuus. Kengät ovat Tommy Hilfigerin yksinkertaiset mustat nilkkurit. Tykkään myös miten kivasti tämä gepardikuvioinen "clutch" sopii farkkutyyliin. 

Outfit 2.

This outfit is a bit more dressed up than the first one. The dress is simple black lace dress with the 1/2 sleeves. I definitely got a thing for lace. I just love the feminine romantic and bohemian feeling of lace clothing. I would probably wear rather a pair of black pumps with this dress or some golden statement heals. I would put black or moderately golden tights with the dress just didn't have a pair at the moment. The white bag I found just recently from a second hand shop. I love it's slightly worn out look which appeals to the bohemian and rock n' roll parts of me.

Tämä asu on puetumpi ja asteen verran juhlallisempi. Päällä on yksinkertainen musta pitsimekko puolipitkillä hihoilla. Pitsikausi selkeästi mulla meneillään. Tykkään todella paljon pitsin romanttisesta, naisellisesta ja boheemista vaikutelmasta. Käyttäisin tämän mekon kanssa mieluummin perusmustia avokkaita tai sitten jotain metallinkiiltoisia "asennekenkiä". Lisäksi laittaisin mustat tai hillityn kultaiset sukkahousut. Nyt ei sattunut olemaan paria käsillä kuvausta varten. Valkoisen laukun löysin äskettäin kirpputorilta. Pidän sen hieman kuluneesta ilmeestä. Vetoaa varmaan taas boheemiin ja rokkihenkiseen puoleeni.

Outfit 3.

In this outfit there is a lot shine and luster. The look is edgier and more rock compared to the first and second. The T-shirt I have also bought from a second hand store. In festive season I love to wear metallic colours and styles as they add that bit of festive and extravagant feel to the outfit. I thought this shirt would be perfect for New Years Eve. Here I've paired it with black high waist jeans but it would go perfectly with a pencil skirt tucked in the waistline.

Tässä asussa onkin kunnolla kiiltoa ja säihkettä. Asussa on enemmän asennetta ja rock-henkeä verrattuna kahteen muuhun vaihtoehtoon. Myös paidan löysin kirpputorilta hiljattain. Näin juhlakaudella tykkään käyttää paljon metallisia värejä, sillä ne tuovat asuun juhlavuutta ja ylenpalttisuutta, hyvällä tavalla. Tässä asussa olen yhdistänyt paidan mustiin korkeavyötäröisiin farkkuihin, mutta se sopisi loistavasti myös kynähameen kanssa.

CHRISTMAS EVE

So Christmas went by so quickly as it always does. The Christmas evening was nice consisting of enjoying some good food and wine with my boyfriends family. Stuffing my face with too much chocolate in the end, it's still worth it to have once a year no portion control. I was just trying to catch the Christmas spirit as it was a bit different this year because I'm in London and away from my family. Here in London the Christmas spirit is it's own kind like in every city and country and you just have to tune in with it. Anyways here I've made a short photo diary of my Christmas, hope you enjoy it! And hope you've had an awesome time with your closest people or any way how you prefer to spend the Holiday's!

Joulu tuli ja meni taas niin nopeasti, niin kuin se tuppaa usein menemään. Jouluaatto sujui rennosti ruuasta ja viinistä nauttien poikaystäväni perheen kanssa. Loppuillasta suklaan nauttiminen meni tyypilliseen tapaan hieman yli, mutta oli sen arvoista kun nyt kerran vuodessa vallitsee yleinen vapaus ruokakontrollin suhteen. Tämä Joulu olikin hieman erilainen, sillä vietin sen Lontoossa erossa omasta perheestäni yrittäen tavoittaa paikallista Joulutunnelmaa. Täällä tunnelma on erilainen kuten varmasti jokaisessa suurkaupungissa ja maassa Joulun tunnelma on omanlaisensa. Täytyy vain virittäytyä mukaan. Joka tapauksessa tein pienen "kuvakirjan" omasta Joulustani, toivottavasti pidätte siitä! Ja toivottavasti teillä kaikilla pyhien vietto on mennyt ihanasti läheisten kanssa tai miten jokainen tapaa juhlansa viettää!

SPA WEEKEND

Hello everybody! So I haven't been here for a while. It's the usual: "I'm so busy with school" that has kept me away from blogging. Partly it's true I've been pushing myself quite hard in the studying and been also writing my bachelors thesis and stressing maybe a bit too much of these things add to this a bit of perfectionist and the loop is ready. The mindset has been that it's no point to blog now because I don't have the time and energy to make a blog post that's good enough. It's also been quite challenging when it comes to taking photos because of the lack of light here in Finland. Now that I'm writing this post it's half past three and it's almost dark outside. Anyway enough justification and excuses now I'm back and I thought to share with you a picture diary from  a spa weekend few weeks ago. I was invited to a birthday party with my boyfriend to Denmark and decided to have a mini getaway along the party. So we spent a few days in a Comwell spa hotel in Korsoer. The hotel was absolutely lovely and we had such a good relaxing few days there. I recommend trying the Comwell hotels for a spa holiday. Quick google search revealed that it's a chain hotel company in Denmark and Sweden. So enough with the intro and let the photos tell the story.

Tervehdys kaikille! Mistähän sitä alottaisi.. No sanotaan näin että aktiivisuuteni täällä blogin puolella on ollut harmittavan vähäistä viime aikoina. Syy on se tyypillinen: "olen niin kiireinen koulun kanssa" mikä on pitänyt poissa bloggaamisen parista. Osittain totta kyllä, sillä olen panostanut tänä syksynä opiskeluihin oikein tosissani ja tehnyt samalla opinnäytetyötäni ja vielä stressannut näistä ehkä hieman liikaa. Lisätään tähän vielä hitunen perfektionistiluonnetta ja kierre on valmis. Ajatusmaailma on ollut se ettei nyt edes voi kunnolla blogata, koska ei ole aikaa ja energiaa tehdä tarpeeksi hyviä blogipostauksia. Osittain syynä on ollut haasteelliset kuvausolosuhteet tällä hetkellä. Valoa ei vain tunnu olevan tarpeeksi ja koulupäivät vievät sen vähän ajan jolloin olisi mahdollista ottaa parhaita kuvia. Joka tapauksessa nyt riittää tämä oikeutuksen hakeminen ja selittely. Olen täällä taas ja päätin kuvien muodssa jakaa ihanan kylpyläviikonlopun parin viikon takaa. Sain poikaystäväni kanssa kutsun syntymäpäiville Tanskaan ja päätimme yhdistää siihen pienen kylpyläloman. Vietimme muutaman päivän Comwell-kylpylähotellissa Korsoerin kaupungissa. Hotelli oli aivan ihana ja vietimme pari uskomattoman rentouttavaa päivää siellä. Suosittelen ehdottomasti Comwell hotelleita kylpylälomailuun. Pikainen google-haku paljasti että kyseessä on hotelliketju jonka hotelleita löytyy Tanskasta ja Ruotsista. No niin taitaa riittää alustukset ja annetaan kuvien puhua puolestaan.

First evening we had a glass of wine in the hotel bar. The atmosphere and the interior design in the hotel was really calming and appealing. 

Ensimmäisenä iltana nautimme lasilliset viiniä hotellin baarissa. Hotellissa vallitsi ihanan rentouttava ja miellyttävä tunnelma, jota sisustus vielä korosti.

Did I tell I love hotel breakfast buffets? Well I absolutely do. In Comwell the breakfast buffet was great. So many different healthy and tasty things to try and not to forget the obligatory hotel fried bacon and scrambled eggs.

Kerroinko että rakastan hotelliaamiaisia? Comwellin aamiainen oli mahtava. Paljon erilaisia terveellisiä ja herkullisia vaihtoehtoja unohtamatta perinteistä hotellien paistettua pekonia ja munakokkelia.

The days went by chilling out in the pool indoor and outdoor. We also tried the Finnish and Turkish saunas. The Turkish sauna was really relaxing but the Finnish sauna was kind of cold compared to what I'm used.

Päivät kuluivat mukavasti uima-altailla rentoutuen sisällä ja ulkona. Kokeilimme myös saunoja. Turkkilainen sauna oli ihana, mutta suomalaistyylistä saunaa olisi voinut lämmittää hieman enemmän.

At the last night we went to the outdoor Jacuzzi and shared a bottle of sparkling wine. It was absolutely perfect to relax in the hot water sip some ice cold wine and just gaze the stars. I just feel grateful to be able to relax like this from time to time. Luckily there is some more relaxing time ahead on Christmas. No busy schedules and things to do just some time to be. Viimeisenä iltana rentouduimme pihan poreammeessa ja nautimme ohessa kuohuviiniä. Tuntui täydelliseltä rentoutua kuumassa vedessä, juoda jääkylmää viiniä ja tuijotella tähtitaivasta. On todella kiitollinen olo että on mahdollista joskus rentoutua näin. Kohta onkin lisää rentoutusta tiedossa Joulun merkeissä. Ei kiireisiä aikatauluja ja tehtäviä vaan vain aikaa olla. A WINTER DAY

For a short moment there was snow for like one day. It was so lovely. It didn't seem so dark and grey and everything just looked fresh outside. Then the snow melt down and it's again the same grey autumn that it has been now for quite a while. Quite a poetic intro I'd say. Well sometimes it's like this. I took the advantage of the snowy day and just went on with winter clothes. I dig my Joan of arctic boots from Sorel from the basement and my winter beanie. I bought the Sorel boots last year and have to say like them a lot. I can wear them on the coldest times and my feet stay warm but they go as well on a bit warmer weather and don't feel too hot either plus my feet stay dry as the boots are waterproof. I've been quite busy with school lately just recently it has gotten a bit easier. Less than a week I'm heading to Denmark for a weekend mini-holiday. It's so fun to have something to wait.

Päivän verran oli ihanan talvinen maisema, noin viikko sitten. Olipa kivaa kun maisema ei näyttänyt niin tummalta ja harmaalta vaan pikemminkin raikkaalta. Sitten kävi niin kuin usein käy nykyään syksyllä ja talvellakin ja lumi suli yhtä äkkiä pois kuin oli satanutkin. Sitten loppusyksyn harmaus palasi, vaikka sitä nyt on tässä jo mielestäni ihan riittävästi katseltu. Tulipas runollinen alustus.. no joskus tällaistakin tekstiä. Hyödynsin kuitenkin lumisen päivän fiilistelemällä talvisempaa tyyliä. Kaivoin varastosta Sorelin Joan of arctic-saappaani ja talvisemman pipon. Ostin Sorelit vuosi sitten ja täytyy sanoa että olen ollut todella tyytyväinen. Sopivat niin kylmimpiin säihin kuin nollan lämpötiloihin ja jalat pysyvät lämpiminä ja kuivina, koska kengät ovat vedenpitävät. Muuten on pitänyt kiirettä koulun kanssa, nyt tosin hieman rauhallisempi vaihe. Alle viikon kuluttua lähdenkin Tanskaan viikonloppulomalle. Kivaa kun on jotain odotettavaa.

FIVE FAVORITES OF THE MOMENT

I know I have praised these trainers for ages but they are seriously the best trainer purchase ever. So many times I find myself choosing these because they are comfortable and simple chic.

Tiedän olen hehkuttanut näitä lenkkareita jo jonkin aikaa, mutta ovat todella paras lenkkarihankinta pitkään  aikaan. Monta kertaa huomaan valitsevani nämä mukavuuden ja yksinkertaisen tyylikkyyden ansiosta.

Winged eyeliner. This has been my regular makeup quite long. For a short period I wore more soft smokey look but have found the wings again. My eyes are deep and I have quite big upper lids so this kind of precise and clear makeup look best gives that bigger eye effect and makes the eyes pop.

En tiedä tarkkaa käännöstä, mutta sanotaan nyt siipimäinen rajaus. Tämä oli pitkään arkimeikkini. Hetkeksi siirryin pehmeämpään smokey eye henkisempään tyyliin vain löytääkseni tämän uudelleen. Silmäni ovat aika syvällä "kuopassaan" ja yläluomeni ovat isot joten tällainen tarkkarajainen ja selkeä meikki saa silmät näyttämään suuremmilta sekä korostaa silmiä kauniisti.

This bag has turned out to be perfect size. I can fit a lot of stuff even the bag is medium size. This bag also goes good with so many styles. Perfect with jeans styles or with more dressier looks.

Tämä laukku on osoittautunut kooltaan täydelliseksi. Sisään mahtuu reilusti tavaraa, vaikka laukku on keskikokoinen. Sopii myös moniin eri tyyleihin. Näyttää hyvältä niin farkkutyyleissä tai juhlavammissakin tyyleissä.

Smoothie bowls have been my favorite breakfast lately. I feel so fresh and energized after eating a smoothie bowl. A great way to have a lot of nutrients in a delicious way.

"Smoothiekulhot" hyvän käännöksen puuttuessa ovat olleet lemppariaamiaisani viime aikoina. Olo tuntuu todella raikkaalta ja energiseltä smoothien jälkeen. Loistava tapa saada vitamiineja ja muita ravintoaineita herkullisesti.

Spontaneous moments of chilling have been important lately as I have been quite busy. Sometimes I have to remind myself to relax and just take time or have a day off. 

Spontaanit chillailuhetket ovat olleet tärkeitä viime aikoina arjen kiireissä. Välillä pitää muistuttaa itseään rentoutumisesta oman ajan ottamisesta ja vapaapäivistä eikä vaan suorittaa elämää.

SPORTY CASUAL

On Sunday my friend and I enjoyed culture in the form of sports. We went to see KTP:s (Kotkas' football team) last match of the season. Yeah once in a season it's good to go as I am "a true fan" of KTP. Not really. I enjoy football but don't take it that seriously. With the outfit I decided to honor the event and went sporty casual. I love my Nike trainers so much. I wonder how many times I'm going to say it. Anyway the trainers are really easy to combine and very comfortable. They freshen up any outfit. Of course it's another thing how to keep the trainers as white and clean as they are now. I bout these jeans from the summer sales from Levis and have been really happy with my purchase. The model is called Demicurve and they adopt to the users shape and curves. The jeans feel very comfortable on me like a second skin even that they are relatively low waist. As a tall girl I usually face the problem with low rise jeans that they stay maybe 10 cm too low on me and are impossible to use due to the bad fit. In these jeans the length and cut are just perfect like usually in the good quality brands. I combined the jeans with a simple sweater from Ginatricot basic leather jacket big scarf and there it is sporty casual outfit.

Kävimme sunnuntaina ystäväni nauttimassa kulttuurista urheilun muodossa. Seurasimme KTP:n kauden viimeistä peliä Ilvestä vastaan. Heh kerran kaudessa pitää yksi peli käydä katsomassa, kun tällainen "tosifani" olen. Päälle valikoitui luonnollisesti mukavaa ja urheilullista tilaisuuden hengen mukaisesti. Olen kovasti tykästynyt näihin Niken lenkkareihini. Kuinkahan monta kertaa vielä hehkutan näitä? Joka tapauksessa niin mukavat ja helposti yhdisteltävät lenkkarit kuin vaan voi olla. Raikastavat asun kuin asun. Toinen asia onkin sitten, miten hohtavan valkoiset kengät pidetään yhtä hohtavan valkoisina. Farkut ovat kesällä aleista ostetut Leviksen DemiCurvet. Todella mukavat päällä, kuin toinen iho, vaikka ovatkin melko matalavyötäröiset. Pitkänä usein törmään siihen että matalavyötäröiset farkut päättyvät ehkä 10 cm alemmas kuin missä vyötäröni on ja käyttö on mahdotonta epämukavuuden ja huonon istuvuuden vuoksi. Näissä kuitenkin taas pituus ja leikkaus kohdallaan, kuten useimmissa laadukkaammissa merkeissä. Yhdistin farkut yksinkertaiseen Ginatricotin college-paitaan, perusnahkatakkiin sekä isoon huiviin ja rento sporttinen kokonaisuus on siinä.

HOW TO BECOME INSPIRED

We went to see a new film called The Intern starred by Robert de Niro and Anne Hathaway. It was a nice feel good comedy with some drama as well. We had so much fun with our group laughing on the jokes and enjoying ourselves. For me one of the best parts of the film was the gorgeous and inspiring costume design seen on the film. The theme was partly in the fashion world so I got so much eye candy in the form of the outfits. The costume designer of the film is Jacqueline Demeterio. I haven't heard of her before but totally loved her way of styling. Very modern and chic. Here in this style I got inspired with an outfit seen in the film in which boyfriend jeans we're combined with a classic white shirt and similar style shoes. I especially liked how they had tucked in the other side of the shirt in the jeans which showed the cute belt and added some chic and sleekness to the outfit. The cardigan on top of the shirt brings some warmness and softness to the outfit and adds the final touch. I'll probably have to watch The Intern soon again to get some more inspiration. I love how anything which I see can be inspiring. Usually with my personal style I get my inspiration from the styles I see on the street another blogs and new trends.

Kävimme katsomassa kaveriporukalla uuden elokuvan The Intern, jota tähdittivät Robert de Niro ja Anne Hathaway. Kyseessä oli mukava hyvänmielen elokuva, jossa oli myös draaman aineksia. Oli hauskaa nauraa yhdessä vitseille ja nauttia olosta leffateatterissa. Minulle elokuvan parhaita paloja oli kuitenkin upea ja inpiroiva stailaus. Elokuvan teema liittyi osittain muotimaailmaan, joten silmänruokaa riitti tyylistä ja pukeutumisesta innostuville. Pukusuunnittelija oli Jacqueline Demeterio, josta en aiemmin ollut kuullut, mutta jonka stailauksista nautin todella paljon. Tyylit olivat moderneja ja hyvin chic. Tässä asussani inspiroiduin elokuvassa nähdystä asusta jossa boyfriend-farkkuihin oli yhdistetty klassinen valkoinen kauluspaita vastaavantyylisten kenkien kanssa. Erityisesti pidin siitä miten paidan helman toinen puoli oli tungettu housun sisään ja paljasti söpön vyön sekä lisäsi asuun huoliteltua chic henkeä. Neuletakki paidan päällä tuo asuun lämpöä ja pehmeyttä sekä täydentää asun. Pitää varmaan katsoa The Intern pian uudestaan saadakseni lisäinspiraatiota omaan tyyliin. Ihanaa miten mistä tahansa näkemästään voi inspiroitua. Useimmiten omaa tyyliä inspiroivat katutyylit, muut blogit ja totta kai uudet trendit.
